Volunteering Roles

Whether you want to help save lives or stay behind the scenes - you can pursue a variety of roles

What do I need to know?

Most roles are suitable for anyone aged 18 or over, with some available to 16-17 year olds. If you’re under 18, check out our youth programmes.

Our specialist and leadership roles are available seperately.

We cover all of England and have opportunities all over the country. If you’re elsewhere in the UK, please search for SJA Cymru, SJA Northern Ireland, or St Andrew’s First Aid (Scotland).

As you look through our roles and opportunities, you can find out more about the time commitment needed. Almost all our roles mostly involve volunteering in the evenings and weekends. Most only require a minimum of a few hours a month, with some opportunities suitable if you have even less time to spare.
