First Aider (Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire)
As a First Aider on events both large and small, you will be there in the moments that matter, from reassuring and giving minor treatments, to being part of a life-saving team. You will be supporting the wider work of St John Ambulance, as we aim to build more health resilience into local communities including your own.
You’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.
We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us.
Your First Aid course will last four days, usually on four separate weekends, with some pre-reading at home before each session.
We do not have a fixed closing date, but we may pause recruitment if we become oversubscribed - so if you want to pursue this, please do not delay!
Please note you must be based in Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire to pursue this role, not just be willing to travel there.
If you are already a volunteer, you just need to meet the minimum criteria for role - there is no specific interview for the Event First Aider role. If you are not currently a volunteer, you will first be invited to a Welcome Interview with our Welcome Team.
